About

The villages of Guildtown and Wolfhill are home to some 650 people and lie around 6 miles north of Perth, within a generally agricultural area interspersed by woodland.

In the early 2000s, Guildtown Community Association took its initial steps to reduce its energy footprint by installing both a bank of solar thermal panels on their hall’s large south facing roof and a ground source heat pump system.  Combined, this equipment supports the hall’s hot water and heating requirements.  In 2009, we embarked on a community wide initiative: the Guildtown & Wolfhill Carbon Community Action Project – CarbonCAP.

This website is one of the outputs from the CarbonCAP project. The website is a community resource enabling awareness of services, clubs, events, news and information about the area.

Plant a tree............

Planting a tree is an easy contribution to make, it doesn't have to be big and intursive, there are many small attractive species around, or better still, plant something like a birch, easy to mange, copice or chop down for firewood, then plant another! Click on image for info.......
